Winterizations

1-6 Zones: $60 ($5 per additional zone)

Our competition: $80-90 starting price

When Fall beings, you will want to give us a call to schedule the shutdown of your lawn sprinkler system. Failure to winterize your system will result in damaged pipes and sprinkler heads which will cost you a lot more money in the spring to have repaired. We also winterize outdoor showers, toilets, sinks, pool houses, and cabanas! See below for pricing.

We do not offer service packages or contracts. We feel that if you are not satisfied with our service, you should have the freedom to walk away.

What a typical winterization (fall shutdown) entails:

  • Technician turns off your water source for the system.

  • Technician turns off your automatic irrigation control.

  • Technician hooks up commercial grade air compressor to your system and blows out all remaining water in the systems main feed and in each zone.

Outdoor Shower/Sink: $60 (includes antifreeze for the traps)

Pool House/Cabana: $120 (includes antifreeze for the traps)

*Please note that for pool houses and cabanas this is the base price, this price may vary if there are multiple toilets, sinks, or toilets/urinals.

Payment is due at time of service. If payment is not received by end of the day on the day the service was performed, a $10 late fee will be applied.

We accept cash, check, credit cards, Venmo or Zelle.

Installations

Average (4 Zones) starting around $2,600

Our competition: Average (4 Zones) starting around $2,800

Whether commercial or residential, we can provide you with an automatic lawn sprinkler system that will eliminate the need for you to manually water your lawn by hand or with a garden hose. Our systems are designed to ensure that your lawn and shrubs receive ample coverage. We use professional grade materials, and install the system seamlessly using our Ditch Witch pipe puller (see video). In the video the entire front lawn, curb strip and flower beds are fully installed. This shows you how minimal the damage and footprint is that we leave behind.

What a typical installation entails:

  • Orbit B-Hyve Wi-Fi Controller (system can be controlled via phone)

  • X-Zone system, where X is the number of zones to ensure your property has ample coverage. Hunter PGP Ultra Rotary heads, Rain Bird Pro Spray Mist Heads are used.

  • Backflow Prevention Device (DCV or PVB if water municipality allows)

  • 2 Year Warranty on all parts
  • Most installations are finished in one day (two days for larger installations)

If you're considering an automatic sprinkler installation, please read the following:

  • Your water bill WILL go up during the months in which you are watering.

  • Usually you will water every other day, ODD or EVEN days based on your house number. This is required by your local water municipality.

  • Your DCV backflow device WILL need to be tested annually. This is required by your water municipality, we charge $50 for this service. If your municipality allows for a PVB backflow device to be installed, that device DOES NOT require annual testing.

  • You MUST use us for maintaining your system if you want your warranty to remain valid.

  • We do not manufacture the parts, and they are plastic parts. If you do not winterize, the water will expand when it freezes causing your underground piping and sprinkler heads to become brittle and crack. You are not 'getting away with it', if you don't winterize for a year or two. Once they become brittle, they will crack over and over from the water pressure, causing all new lines needed to be ran.

  • We cannot control the debris that comes from the water municipality in your water main. In very rare cases, this debris can prevent a sprinkler zone valve from closing, which would require the valve to be flushed or swapped. This is NOT covered in our warranty as it is out of our control.

  • Pricing is typically determined by the number of zones that need to be installed. This is dependent based on your water pressure (PSI) and flow rate (GPM). This also is dependent on what areas you would like covered on your property.

Please note that all installation quotes given are our best and final price.

We understand that negotiating is a part of business, however we feel that we are very fair and transparent with our pricing.

Service Calls & Repairs

Service Calls start at $60

Our competition: $70-80 starting price

Our team will always be able to help resolve any issue you have regarding your sprinkler system. Whether you need to add a new sprinkler, add a new zone, remove a head or zone, a broken pipe fixed, or any type of repair needed to your system, we have you covered.

We do not offer service packages or contracts. We feel that if you are not satisfied with our service, you should have the freedom to walk away.

Common types of service calls:

  • Issues regarding your systems controller or wiring

  • Issues regarding your systems rain sensor

  • Issues with your zone valves or zones valve solenoids

  • Leaks, broken pipes, broken sprinkler heads

  • Sprinkler heads stopped working or rotating

  • Installing a new controller or timer

  • Adding or removing a sprinkler head

  • Changing shutoff valves or curb stops

  • Revamps of old existing systems

  • Revamps of systems after massive backyard or home renovations

Trust our professionals to successfully troubleshoot your system or modify your sprinkler system!

Please note that most service calls will incur the $60 charge just for our technician to come out. We understand that to some this may sound ridiculous, but we have business overhead that must be covered for our time (employee wages, gas, etc)

Large repairs are not subject to the $60 charge and we will give a free estimate. This usually will only be the case for replacing old existing sprinkler systems, or major revamps after large backyard or home renovations.

We will ALWAYS inform you when scheduling an appointment if the service call charge will be applied to your appointment!

Backflow Testing

$50

Our competition: $70-75 starting price

We are New York State Backflow Certified. Your water municipality will require your DCV or RPZ backflow device to be tested annually. If you have a PVB (pressure vacuum breaker), you do not have to have it annually tested.

We do not offer service packages or contracts. We feel that if you are not satisfied with our service, you should have the freedom to walk away.

Why do I need a backflow device and why does it need to be tested?

These devices safeguard the public drinking water and protect the health of its residents. They do this by helping to ensure that any contaminants that could backflow into the public water supply system are isolated within the internal distribution system.

All water districts in New York State require each customer to have a backflow prevention device installed on either the house water main or sprinkler system feed. They require that your device be tested annually.

DCV or RPZ = On Water Main or Sprinkler Feed = MUST be tested annually

PVB = On Sprinkler Feed = DOES NOT need to be tested annually

*Not all water districts allow the installation of a PVB.

Please note that we will submit the form to your water district for you once the test is completed and payment is received.
